Grey Fox are inquisitive, comical, intelligent and beautiful animals! Arizona is home to several species of fox, but I have only seen the grey fox at my house. They are special for so many reasons including the fact that they are the only North American canid that can climb trees! And, with their captivating looks, they always look like they are happy and smiling.

There is a beautiful fox couple that calls the region around my house their “home”. It is such a treat to see them because fox are very shy and tend to come out mostly at night when the threat of human danger is lower. With their gorgeous tails as long as their body, their regal appearance is deceiving as they appear much larger than their actual size which, at 4-5 pounds, is much smaller than the average house cat!
