I absolutely love rabbits, cottontails and jack rabbits. I have enjoyed doing wild bunny rehab and release in partnership with the Runnin’ W Wildlife Center in Cornville. Little baby bunnies are so fragile and when they pull through after an injury – it is just so exciting! But, releasing of them back into the wild is not so easy because you know the rest of their lives will be spent on the run evading predators! I made this painting of one of our little wild ones, this is “Buster”. When we released him, he made us laugh with all his classic rabbit poses before he headed off into the wild, he was “Ready to Run”!!! Live long and prosper sweet Buster!!!
