Introducing “Joy”! Joy is the life partner of “Brother”. The beautiful pair of coyote have been studied and photographed by wildlife photographer and naturalist Gail Halm. Gail has observed and photographed a multi-generational family in the greater Phoenix area for many years. She is author of the book “Coyote I Have Known” which I highly recommend. Coyote demonstrate love for family members, partner for life and are monogamous throughout their lives. They live in complex social groups – just like us humans. I love learning about this extended family group and painting them whenever I can. This is Joy enjoying life on a lazy day!
